   Foot In The Door

Want help getting your foot in the door? Announcing our Foot in the Door Business Partner campaign! Members have an opportunity to win $500 OC-ALA dollars by simply meeting with three OC-ALA Business Partners whose services they are not currently using.  Details to be announced.

Our Directory is published in April each year and is a premier resource for OC-ALA Members and Business Partners. The “Members By Name” section includes a list of Members, their contact information, photo and firm/office demographics. The “Business Partners By Company” section is a list of OC-ALA’s Business Partners, along with their contact information, photo, and a 50-word description of each company’s expertise and services. In addition, the Directory includes a section entitled “Business Partners By Category” which lists Business Partners according to their selected business service category(ies).

Business Partners will gain enhanced visibility with links to their website published in our timely and informative e- newsletter, OC-ALA’s Waves . This newsletter is emailed to all of our Members and Business Partners, and it is also posted on our website. In addition to being distributed to all Members, Waves will also be distributed to prospective Members/firms as well as ALA’s Board of Directors and Regional Officers.

Website Advertising
Our website ( offers all Business Partners a professional platform in which to display their company contact information, photo, a 50-word description of each company’s expertise and services, and website link. Based on the sponsorship level you select, your company may be listed in one or more business services categories for the period February 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018.

Annual Chapter Education Summit (ACES)
This is OC-ALA's most highly attended educational and networking event and is scheduled for Friday, February 10, 2017 in Irvine.  ACES is a unique opportunity to interact one-on-one with a large number of Members about your services.  This event is typically attended by 60+ Members.  Our Business Partner exposition at ACES is a terrific opportunity for Business Partners to showcase their services to Members, as well as network and build relationships with Members.  This also includes the cost of the networking cocktail reception held at the end of the day.  Specific details of the ACES event will be mailed to levels Bronze and above by the ACES Committee after you have registered as a Business Partner.

Business Partner Appreciation Event
This annual event, hosted by OC-ALA, is the Chapter's way of saying "thank you" to our Business Partners. This is a complimentary evening event (usually held in October) that continues to increase in popularity each year.  It is a formal way to recognize our Business Partners' support and an incredible networking opportunity for attendees.  In recent years, we have devoted a portion of the event to a networking game in order that all our Business Partners may have access and the opportunity to socialize with our Members.  It's a great evening!

  Business Partner Logo
OC-ALA would like to reward the consistent sponsorship of our Business Partners by use of our exclusive "OC-ALA Business Partner" logo for Business Partners at Gold and above.  Specific details will be sent along with the logo to gold level and above sponsors.
 OC-ALA Partnership Award
Our business partners often refer new ALA Members and new Business Partners to us, and we would like to acknowledge their efforts on our behalf.  At our annual Business Partner Appreciation Mixer, the winner of our OC-ALA Partnership Award will be announced and the winner of this award will be featured in the WAVES E-Newsletter as well as receive a token of appreciation.

Networking Events
There are usually three networking events held throughout the year which the participating sponsors are invited to sponsor and attend at an additional charge.  The tops levels of sponsorship get the first opportunity to sponsor an event, and this is coordinated through the Business Partner Relations Committee.

Business Partner Advisory Council (BPAC)
In 2008 we implemented BPAC, our Business Partner Advisory Council.  This council was formed in order to enhance our relationship via improved two-way communication with representative Business Partners.  We recognize that our Members would not enjoy the high quality educational programs, networking events and other resources offered by our Chapter without your support.  The top levels of sponsorship are invited to attend BPAC providing the sponsorship criteria has been met.
